Entrepreneurs' organization Unizo has chosen 3Motion from Zele as the national 'SME of the Year.' The East Flanders-based production company, led by CEO Femke Helon, specializes in visual communication.
3Motion won the final round against four other provincial candidates: Buildup (Flemish Brabant), industry peer Visix (West Flanders), Stroohm (Antwerp), and Level 27 (Limburg).
International business
An expert jury evaluated all candidates based on criteria such as financial management, marketing & communication, innovation, (ambition for) international business, human resources, energy & environment, and entrepreneurship. GraydonCreditsafe conducted an analysis based on ESG scores and resilience.
Under the leadership of CEO Femke Helon and co-managing directors Wouter and Gerd Mouton, 3Motion has grown into a strong player in creative visual communication. In addition to its headquarters in Zele, which employs nearly fifty people, the printing company also has a branch in Mariahout, the Netherlands.
Social commitment
"3Motion stood out due to the various sustainable initiatives the company undertakes, from production to recycling and tree planting. Their strong ambition for growth and social engagement as a family business were also decisive factors," says Unizo.
"They are also pioneers in the 3D printing market and are fully embracing automation while ensuring that their employees add value in the right roles. The company operates internationally, serving clients in the Netherlands, France, and the United Kingdom."
The awards cabinet at 3Motion is becoming increasingly impressive. Femke Helon, who also serves as president of the industry federation FESPA Belgium, was previously honored in 2020 as the winner of the WOMED Award.
